We are looking for volunteers to help with a series of classes to be held in downtown Seattle this summer. These new, exciting classes are geared towards apartment and condo dwellers and will focus on container gardening and indoor food waste composting. Contact careythornton@seattletilth.org
Harvest Fair Super Volunteers
Help organize one of the most festive community events of the year! Good communicators needed to contact community groups, local vendors, and farmers and strategic thinkers needed for event planning. Approximately 5 hours per week (flexible) throughout the summer until the event on Saturday, September 6, 2008.

Outreach Volunteer
Promote the mission and programs of Seattle Tilth at events around the region including our new programs in Issaquah. In your training, we’ll cover FAQs, referrals to The Garden Hotline, and other key info.

Children's Garden Rock Star (volunteer)
Get your hands in the dirt and volunteer in the Children's Garden! Taste the sweet and nibbly, feel the soft and prickly - teach kids to learn with all their senses. No gardening experience or teaching experience necessary, just enthusiasm and a sense of humor!

Garden Crew Volunteer
We are taking applications for Late Season Crew. A great opportunity for beginning gardeners to work with Seattle Tilth in our demonstration gardens in Wallingford & Mt Baker Neighborhoods. As a crewmember you will learn and practice organic gardening techniques. There will be an orientation on June 17 from 6 - 7 PM for the Late Season Crew. The crew will begin in July. Children’s Garden Anniversary Picnic Event Volunteers
This is a fun picnic party fundraiser with music and activities at Meridian Park to support Seattle Tilth’s Children’s Garden on August 9th. Assist with children’s crafts and games, sell tickets, make signs, set-up and clean up at the event. For more info contact jessicaheiman@seattletilth.org..
Volunteer for Shopping and Errands
If you have a flexible schedule and a car or truck, you could help us with shopping and errands necessary to support operations, programs and events. Errands can include picking up gift certificates, donated items and delivering materials for recycling. Shopping will include purchasing snacks and office supplies using gift certificates, Tilth credit cards or petty cash.
Commitment: 3-6 hours per month, usually week days
